It is a good time to reflect on the APICS Quad Cities activities this year and plans for the futureā€¦and hopefully you will join us in the future for more programs and tours that can benefit you and your workplace.

Connecting & Networking;

  • 14Dec18, the TBK Bank Sports Complex presentation and walking facility tour was very informative. We were able to learn about some of the challenges and many of the successes to build this physical structure in approximately 1 year and get it well utilized for sporting events, practices, leagues, fitness center and open use times since March 2018.
  • 12Dec18, our 5th annualAPICS Quad-Cities Holiday Open House. This year we are joined by the ISM Quad Cities Affiliate and their guests at Thunder Bay Grille. Brent VanDamme, Deere & Company economist, will provide a presentation on the Economic Outlook for 2019 plus time for questions. Hopefully you will join us.

  • 27Mar19, Night of Networking at Western Illinois University.This will be the annual joint meeting of ISM, APICS and the WIU students from both the Moline and the Macomb campuses. Join us for a night of energy and interactions with some very motivated, soon to be Young Professionals with a focus of study in Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Operations.

  • We have started a project to update, improve and make our website more valuable to you and others for information, communication and connection.
  • If you have ideas and suggestions to make our website more usable and meaningful for you, please let us know.

  • Plans are being finalized with Black Hawk College to offer our first public classes of the new Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification, Module 1 of 2 in early Feb2019.
  • We are also working with 2 local companies to offer the CPIM Module 1 classes onsite in early 2019.
  • We are trying to gauge the interest of our members and other people that you may know to offer classes for 2 other certifications:
    • Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD).
    • Certified Supply Chain Professional (SCSP).
