The Association for Operations Management

Happy Holidays
HAPPY Holiday to you, your family and friends!!
I hope you have and make opportunities to spend time and celebrate with those that are close and meaningful to you.
It is a good time to reflect on the APICS Quad Cities activities this year and plans for the future…and hopefully you will join us in the future for more programs and tours that can benefit you and your workplace.

Connecting & Networking;

  • 13Dec17, our 4th annual APICS Quad-Cities Holiday Open House at Biaggi’s. This year we were joined by the ISM – Chapter and their guests.  Jim Victor provided an excellent presentation on the Economic Outlook for 2018 plus plenty of time for questions.  25 APICS and ISM members and guests enjoyed the good food, good beverages and good people.  Hopefully you will join us next year for the 5th annual in 2018.
  • 17Jan18, Building a Bridge for the Future:  The I-74 Mississippi River Bridge Project – Ryan Hippen and George Ryan.  This is our 2nd presentation on the I-74 Bridge project – planning, project management, supply chain, logistics, challenges and successes. This meeting will be at Keller’s American Grill at the Isle of Capri Casino. The meeting announcement will be sent out shortly.
  • 28Mar18, Night of Networking at Western Illinois University.  This will be the annual joint meeting of ISM, APICS and the WIU students from both the Moline and the Macomb campuses. Join us for a night of energy and interactions with some very motivated, soon to be Young Professionals with a focus of study in Supply Chain Management.
  • 18Apr18, Tour. Kimberly Hill, our new board member responsible for programs is working on a “unique” tour experience, if we can make it happen.
